The 2025 Bermuda Ball Hockey Inline season kicked off at the PCC Hockey Rink with a flurry of goals, as a total of 35 pucks found the back of the net across the opening two matches.
The first game of the season saw a tightly contested affair, with the Charlestown Chiefs narrowly edging out the Broome County Blades in a 7-6 thriller. James Amaral led the scoring charge for the Chiefs with an impressive four goals, while Ronnie Dzurus contributed a hat-trick. Shawn Mckee added the decisive seventh goal for the Chiefs. The Broome County Blades put up a strong fight, with Ryan Wilson netting a hat-trick of his own. Josh Wilson, Matt Mcphail, and Brett Sheriffs also chipped in with a goal apiece for the Blades, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Chiefs' offensive output.
The nightcap saw a higher-scoring affair as the Hyannisport Presidents delivered a dominant performance to defeat the Long Island Ducks 14-8. Alex Larouche was the standout player for the Presidents, exploding for an incredible six goals. Rob Osborne and Ryan Bates also provided significant offensive support, each finding the back of the net four times. For the Long Island Ducks, Theo Caimassidis led their scoring with four goals, while both Adam Mattatal and Iain Beaudoin each added two goals. However, the Presidents' potent attack proved too much for the Ducks to handle.
The opening night's action at the PCC Hockey Rink suggests an exciting and high-scoring season ahead in the Bermuda Ball Hockey Inline League.
