IslandStats.com
Bermuda's cyclists faced tough competition on the international stage, with Kaden Hopkins and Nicholas Narraway competing in the Elite Men’s Road Race at the Pan American Road Championships in Punta del Este, Uruguay, while Robin Horsfield took on the challenging Elite Men’s Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) race at the Pan American Mountain Bike Championships in Costa Rica. Conor White also represented Bermuda in the gruelling Rutland-Melton CiCLE Classic in the UK.

In the 198km road race in Uruguay, Kaden Hopkins put in a strong performance, finishing in 10th place. He was part of a large pack that crossed the line just one second behind the winner, Álvaro José Hodeg of Colombia, who clocked a time of 4 hours, 56 minutes, and 44 seconds. Nicholas Narraway finished further back in 19th place, crossing the line two seconds later in 4 hours, 56 minutes, and 46 seconds, highlighting the tight finish amongst the chasing group.

Meanwhile, in the demanding XCO race at the Pedregal Events Center in Costa Rica, Robin Horsfield faced a stacked field of the Americas' best mountain bikers. Competing on a course that tested their technical skill and endurance, Horsfield battled hard but ultimately finished 39th, one lap down on the winner. The victory went to Mexico's Jose Gerardo Ulloa, who clocked a time of 1 hour, 32 minutes, and 39 seconds. Brazil's Ulan Bastos Galinski finished second, seven seconds behind, and Argentina's Catriel Soto took third place, a further nine seconds adrift.

In the UK, Conor White represented Muc-Off-SRCT-Storck in the arduous 19th Rutland-Melton CiCLE Classic, a one-day race covering 177km of challenging terrain. White finished in 60th place with a time of 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 52 seconds, finishing 13 minutes and 8 seconds behind the winner, Ben Granger, who completed the race in 4 hours, 17 minutes, and 44 seconds. The CiCLE Classic is known for its tough conditions and off-road sections, making White's completion of the race a significant achievement.

The performances of Hopkins, Narraway, Horsfield, and White demonstrate the commitment and talent of Bermuda's athletes across various cycling disciplines on the international stage.
