The Bermuda Cricket Board released the schedule for the 2023 BCB Athene T20 Cricket League that begins this weekend.
The well-anticipated, fast-paced tournament will begin on July 15 with participation from 12 member clubs and the island’s best cricket players — 10 rounds over a period of 8 weeks.
This will include a ‘Match of the Week’ event, chosen by the BCB’s cricket committee which will be hosted and promoted by the clubs in an effort to increase revenue and visibility in the community.
In the Premier Division: St. David’s Cricket Club, St. George’s Cricket Club, Western Stars, Somerset Cricket Club, Bailey’s Bay, Willow Cuts.
In the First Division: Cleveland County Cricket Club, Devonshire Recreation Club, Flatts Victoria, Southampton Rangers, Warwick Workmen’s Club, and Somerset Bridge.
During a press conference that was held for certain media only, Ms. Natasha Scotland Courcy, CEO and General Counsel, at Athene Life Re Ltd. said that Athene is pleased to support the T20 League as the BCB prepares for the inaugural year of the Bermuda Premier League and the ICC Americas Men’s T20 World Cup Final here on island in September.
