Tyrone Smith has begun his preparation for the Americas team competing in the Continental Cup in September 4th & 5th in Croatia by competing in Berlin.
Every year Germanys best athletes compete against the words sports elite at ISTAF Berlin. In 2010, 75 German athletes faced 150 internationals, including Smith and current European and World Champions as well as several Olympic medalists.
Christian Reif from Germany who won the Mens Long Jump with his impressive 8.47m leap at the 2010 European Championships that earned him Gold also won the ISTAF Berlin Mens Long Jump this time with a leap of 8.06.
Salim Sdiri from France finished second with a leap of 7.99 and Sebastian Bayer from Germany who was makings a new attempt to revive his career finished third with a leap of 7.89.
Smith finished 6th with a leap of 7.83. Smiths first attempt was his best, followed by leaps of 7.60, 7.66, 7.38 and 7.67, he also registered a false jump.
