In a few days, Latroya Darrell will begin her journey back to University of Georgia where she is looking forward to improving on her performances from last year.
Darrell made her University of Georgia Indoor debut on January 15th 2010 when she took part in the Kentucky Invitational.
In her first competition Darrell won the Women’s Triple Jump at the Invitational with a leap of 12.41m. The next day Darrell finished in 5th place in the Women’s High Jump with a leap of 1.73m, a mark that saw her qualify for the CAC Games.
After fighting through a few injuries, Darrell started to find her form again when she finished 2nd in the Women’s Triple Jump at the Spec Towns National Team Invitational in April.
Darrell speaking exclusively to www.islandstats.com said, “I am really looking forward to going back to school and improve on what I started last season, I have been working very hard over the summer to make sure that I can hit the ground running when I get back.”
