Pacers & Overseas Athletes Update

Pacers Track Meet

The Bermuda Pacers Track Club’s Track Meet went on at the National Sports Centre. Jeniko Place won the Men’s 14 – 16 100 Meter dash clocking a time of 11.11, Jaret Simmons was second in a time of 11.61 and Daniel Emery finished third in 11.71.

Clocking a time of 11.45 Jaquan Simons Victoria Clarke won the Women’s 14-16 100 Meter Dash recording a time of 12.59 and Jubilee Edness won the Women’s 17-19 100 Meter Dash in a time of 13.67.

During the Meet participating athletes met either the “A” standard or “B” standard for the Carifta Games. Shaquille Dill reached the A Standard for the Under 20 Men’s 800m after his time of 1:56.1, Victoria Clarke reached the B Standard in the Under 17 Girls 200m recording a time of 22.25. Jeneko Place’s time of 50.7 in the Under 17 Boys 400m race saw him reach the A Standard and Alison Outerbridge reached the B Standard for the Under 20 Women’s Triple Jump with a leap of 11.89m.

Henry Stevens-Carty & Tristan Joynes

Steven-Carty and Joynes both competed at the KTC High School Invitational in Tennessee were Stevens-Carty finished 3rd in the 800m clocking a time of 1:58.40 to meet the B Standard for Carifta. Stevens-Carty then finished 2nd in the Invitational Mile finishing in a time of 4:35.54, while Joynes finished 7th in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.03.
