Latroya Darrell and Aaron Evans’ Georgia track and field teammates begin their 2010 indoor season on Friday January 15th by traveling to Lexington, Ky., for this weekend's Kentucky Invitational.
After having to complete their preseason training at a pair of area high schools, Georgia will start this season's action at 6 p.m. on Friday and the meet will continue all day Saturday.
The Georgia men open the season ranked 19th in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) preseason poll.
Sophomore Evans who transferred, will also be making his debut for the Georgia men. Evans, comes to Georgia from the University of Memphis, was the runner-up at last year's Conference USA Indoor Championships in the 800 and has a career-best finish of 1:49.02.
Darrell along with Maria Augutis, Saniel Atkinson and Brittany Holston will compete in the triple jump also scheduled for Friday at 6pm.
