During the Clemson Invitational Jasmine Brunson became the third Bermuda Athlete to reach the qualifying standard for the Carifta Games.
The Clemson University track & field program added 12 event titles on the second and final day of competition at the Clemson Invitational. In total, Clemson student-athletes won 20 events, men and women combined, over the two-day meet.
April Sinkler won her second title of the weekend, clinching the long jump with an effort of 19'4.75". Jasmine Brunson, a freshman was second after a leap of 18'10".
Brunson leaped 5.60m (18’4.50) in the qualifying round to finish second and then in the finals she had a Personal Best leap of 5.74 indoors to reach the ‘A’ Standard for Carifta Games in the Under 20 Women’s Age Group.
