As the School Year began UNLV announced members women's track and field had 10 student-athletes on the 2009 Spring Academic All-MWC team, including four-time selection Olivia Raya.
While Raya was the only repeat selection, the 10 Rebels on the team marked the second-most student-athletes on the Academic All-MWC squad in program history. The first-time selections included Zadia Bryant, Chauncey David-Jacobs, Deja Edwards, Christine Lowe, Lindsay Roach, Claire Schreiner, Jennifer Shearer, Isabelle Stoate and Shahnel Woodley.
To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MWC team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their team.
Junior Woodley had a3.23 in her major of Social Work
