Packing out the Gateshead International Stadium, the north east public will be in for another star studded event at the Aviva British Grand Prix to finish off the UKA major events season. August bank holiday will be a superb day out for the family who will get a first look at the returning champions as they head back from the World Championships just one week earlier.
A day after finishing 3rd with a leap of 7.83m in the Meeting Citta di Padova, in Padova Italy, Tyrone Smith finished eighth in the Men’s Long Jump at the with British Grand Prix.
Smith who was the second jumper leaped his best distance of 7.58m on his first attempt of the day. Smith had further leaps of 7.47, 5.43 and 7.25 in his round. Smith also did not have an attempt in the third round and he had a false jump in his 6th attempt.
