On Day 3 at Russell E Blunt East Cost Invitational saw Pacers member Trey Simons selected as the 15-16 boys outstanding athlete having won a Gold in the 3000m setting a new record (9:00.40). Gold in the 1500m and a Silver in the 800m. Going into the day with their medal count at 7 the Pacers grabbed 7 more medals to finish with 14 medals in all.
In the 800m Kyrah Scraders placed 3rd in the 11-12 Girls in a time of 2:23.55. Taylor-Ashley Bean finished 2nd in the 15-16 age group in a time of 2:24.65. Simons recorded a time of 1:58.94 and Ryan Furbert was clocked at 1:59.51 placing 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 800 Meter Run Intermediate Boys.
In the 400m finals Furbert finished 2nd in a time of 50.08.
Pacers mothers Keena Donawa, Shannon Douglas, Sonina Lottimore and Janine Scott placed 4th out of 19 teams in the 4X100 meter relays in a time of 58.6
In the 4x400m relays the club collected Gold in the 11-12 girls age group in a time of 4:15.96. The team consist of Jordan Bascome, Aaliyah Nolan, Azaire Smith and Kyrah Scraders.
They collected the Silver in the 9-10 Girls age group in a time of 4:53.69 , this team was made up of Demiqua Daniels, Syriah Lottimore, Briquana Santucci and Anasia Barclay.
The Pacers placed sixth (6) overall out of 115 teams boasting 1,954 athletes.
