Day 1 of the Bermuda Track and Field National Championships took place at the National Sports Center, Terri-Lynn Paynter set a New Bermuda Women’s Javelin Throw Record when she threw 38.64m, Shianne Smith finished second with a throw of 28.22m.
Smith won the Girls 17 & Under 200m race in a time of 24.97, while Taylor-Ashley Bean won the Girls 17 & Under 800m race in 2:25.97 and Ashley Berry clocked a time of 11:18.85 to win the Girls 17 & Under 3000m race.
Adam Hall won both the Boy’s 200m & 800m Under 10 races, as well a sthe Under 10 Cricket Ball Throw. Jeneko Lottimore won the Boys 200m 17 & Under race in a time of 22.33, while henry Stevens-Carty won the Boy’s 800m 17 & Under race clocking a time of 1:55.58.
