King Finishes 9th in Long Jump

The NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships continued from John McDonnell Field on as Stanford competed in their first finals of the meet. Sophomores Arantxa King and Jake Riley both earned the first All-America honors of their careers. Several other Stanford men and women competed with some advancing to finals later in the meet. King finished the Long Jump in 9th place with a lap of 6.13m.

King leaped 5.90m in her attempt, and then leaped 6.10m on her second attempt. On her third attempt King leaped 5.97m and then on her fourth attempt came the leap of 6.13m which put her into ninth place, King had two foul leaps on her fifth and sixth attempts.
