The 2009 ATLANTA CLASSIC, at Georgia Tech and with the largest number ever of competitors, once again produced national rankings in a number of events, as well as new national records for participating nations.
Shawnae Brangman finished 12th in the Girls 100 Meter Dash missing out on qualifying for the finals by .21 seconds when she clocked a time of 12.49.
Running in the Boys 100 Meter Dash Kyle Virgil finished 16th with a time of 11.18, while Ravoshia Whaley finished 12th in the Girls 400 Meter Dash with a time of 59.58.
Ryan Furbert was clocked at 49.88 running in the Boys 400 Meter Dash to finish 9th.
With a leap of 4.75m Brangman finished 12th in the Girls Long Jump, while Furbert’s leap of 1.88m saw him finish 8th in the Boys High Jump.
Ashley Berry finished 7th in the Girls 1500 Meter Run with a time of 5:31.47, while Henry Stevens-Carty finished 4th in the Boys 1500 Meter Run.
