Sincere Hall and his Hull City Under 21 teammates suffered a stoppage-time defeat at the MKM Stadium, losing 3 - 2 against Millwall.
Despite Henry Sandat and Jevon Mills netting in each half for the 10-man Tigers, with Owen Foster being sent off, two goals from Tom Leahy and a stoppage-time header from Kamarl Grant saw Millwall secure all three points in the Professional Development League.
The first chances of the game fell to Hull as Hall’s great run drove City up the pitch into Millwall’s third. The ball found its way to Sandat, but the striker’s one-on-one effort was saved well by an onrushing Ethan Wady.
Hall saw his shot blocked before Hull City were awarded a penalty. Sandat’s pace and power saw him beat his marker before being brought down by Wady. Sandat stepped up himself and dispatched the spot-kick with confidence.
Three minutes later Hull City was reduced to 10 men as Foster was shown a straight red card for a professional foul, with Millwall receiving a penalty of their own. After second-year scholar George Wilson was substituted on to go in-between the sticks, replacing Hall, Millwall equalized from the resulting penalty as Tom Leahy sent Wilson the wrong way to find the bottom corner.
