In a thrilling match that featured five second-half goals, Jai Bean and his fourth-ranked Duke University Men's Soccer teammates knocked off No. 1 Wake Forest 3 - 2 at Spry Stadium.

Duke handed Wake Forest their first loss of the season behind goals by Shakur Mohammed, Bean and Axel Gudbjornsson.

Bean produced Duke's first opportunity in the third minute, pushing his shot just outside the left post, with the score level at 1 – 1, Bean put Duke back on top, pressuring the Wake Forest goalkeeper into a turnover in the back in the 60th minute, deflecting the attempted clearance into the goal.

Bean on his goal via pressuring the goalkeeper said, "Pressure makes diamonds. That's what I go by. I think the more you press and the more you go off of it, the better. We knew that the goalie was one of the weak links, so as soon as the ball went up, I said 'I got this' and as soon as it hit my foot, 'that's why we do it'.
