Sincere Hall and his Hull City Under-21 teammates suffered a narrow 2 - 1 defeat against Reading in the Professional Development League.
Despite Jim Simms giving Hull City an early lead, two goals from Claudio Osoro gave Reading all three points at the Dransfield Stadium.
Hull City had the first opportunities of the game as Hall headed over Louie Chorlton’s cross, before Hull City took the lead on seven minutes. From the left wing, Jacob delivered a teasing cross for Simms to convert from close range with a first-time finish.
Reading looked to get themselves back in the game as John Clarke headed Dejan Tetek’s corner routine wide, before Osorio put the visitors on level terms on 19 minutes with a clinical one-on-one finish.
In the second half, Harry Lovick fired his volley off-target before Nelson Abbey saw his thunderous strike hit the underside of the bar, with Hull City clearing away the loose ball.
Five minutes later, the visitors took the lead as Osorio met Clarke’s cross at the back post to head home what would be the eventual winner.
