Burchall’s Hat-Trick Helps Aston Villa U18 Win Big

IslandStats.com
Ajani Burchall and his Aston Villa Under 18 teammates put ten past Norwich City at Bodymoor Heath as they routed the Canaries in the Under-18 Premier League.

Dewain Sewell and Burchall scored hat-tricks, Taylor-Jay Hart bagged two and Kahrel Reddin and Aaron O’Reilly netted a goal apiece as the Young Lions showed no mercy.

The hosts were 6-0 up at half-time and continued to find the back of the net after the interval as they picked up their first win of the season in stunning style.

Reddin got the goal-fest underway after nine minutes, lashing home from the edge of the area after Villa won the ball back high up the pitch.

The winger turned provider seven minutes later when his corner was headed into the far corner by Hart.

Sewell then bagged twice in three minutes, applying the finishing touches to a flowing team move before showing great skill to backheel Reddin’s center past the ‘keeper.

Things got worse for Norwich before the break when Hart buried a rebound and Burchall tapped home his first goal from close range.

A lightning-fast counter-attack led to Burchall doubling his tally five minutes after the break before captain Aaron O’Reilly volleyed home from a corner.

Striker Sewell completed his treble when he slammed home at the end of a move that started on Villa’s penalty area.

The tenth goal arrived with seven minutes to play as Burchall was on hand to finish off Hart’s cross to secure a hat-trick of his own.
