Ne-Jai Tucker and his Burnley Under 23 teammates secured a pre-season victory against National League side Wrexham 1 – 0.
Joe McGlynn’s first-half goal secured another win for Burnely in their fifth pre-season friendly
Having netted four goals already in pre-season, Rob Harker had a big influence on the only goal of the game, setting up McGlynn to tap into the back of the net with an inch-perfect ball across the box inside the opening quarter of an hour.
National League outfit Wrexham, playing their first pre-season game under new boss Phil Parkinson, looked to counter.
However, McGlynn’s early strike was enough to make it back-to-back wins as Burnley now looks forward to a testing trip to Tranmere Rovers on Saturday for a behind-closed-doors game at Prenton Park.
