Nathan Trott was not in the West Ham United Under 23 team that fell 2 – 1 at the Rush Green Stadium to Tottenham.
After a scoreless first half, Tottenham took the lead in the 69th minute, a cross towards the far post, was met by J'Neil Bennett to score with his first touch of the ball.
In the 73rd minute Tottenham double their lead, Bennett cut in from the right and smashed a shot goalwards, the ball took a huge deflection off a West Ham United defender and wrong-footed the West Ham United goalkeeper.
In the 82nd minute, West Ham United was back in the match, Sam Caiger got the ball on the right-hand side and played it inside for Jayden Fevrier to dart onto.
The No7 had a lot of work still to do, but he did it by cutting inside the center-back before smacking the ball against the inside of the post - and in.
West Ham would eventually run out of time looking for the equalizer with the Tottenham goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi's stoppage-time double save preserved the win.
