Zaire Smith scored twice in the final to lead the Berkeley Institute Gold team to victory over CedarBridge Academy Blues in the Bermuda School Sports Federations Over 16 Six-a-Side final at the Clyde Best Centre for Excellence.
Smith gave Berkeley a 1-0 halftime lead, Wahhaj Shakir pulled one back for CedarBridge before Smith rifled home a spectacular finish in the dying seconds which gave the outstretched CedarBridge goalkeeper no chance.
In the Playoff Round Saltus Grammar School edged past Warwick Academy 4-2 on kicks from the Penalty Mark after the match ended 1-1.
Sam Darling had given Warwick the lead in the first half. Caleb McDowell equalized in the second half with a neat flick finish past the advancing keeper.
CedarBridge Academy Blues defeated Mount Saint Agnes 1-0 in the other Playoff match with Rayquon Woodley Smith scoring the lone goals.
CedarBridge then defeated Berkeley Green in the Semi-Final, CedarBridge got goals from Matthew Mello-Cann, Anthony Smith and Wahhaj Skakir to advance them to the final.
Berkeley Gold got goals from Zaire Smith and Zakiyah Lee to win the Semi-Final 2-0 over Saltus Grammar School.
