Trey Simons became only the second Bermuda runner to run under 24 minutes at the 8K distance, breaking Lamont Marshall’s record of 23:59,he set at the NACAC Cross Country Championships in Florida back in 2017.
Competing in the Royals Challenge hosted by Queens University of Charlotte at the McAlpine Park Charlotte, North Carolina, Simons crossed the line 4th in Men’s 8K Run.
In a field of 396 competitors Simons representing Morehouse College was clocked across the line in 23:52.
Christian Noble clocked a winning time of 23:26, Justin Moakler was second in 23:46 and Daniel Walllis was third with a time of 23:51.
