Pearson Looking For Rio 2016 Olympics

IslandStats.com
Shelley Pearson will be starting her MBA at Oxford this September and embarking on her 10th year of competitive rowing.

Over the last 10 years Pearson has aspired to row in the Olympics, Pearson said, “I learned to row in high school and progressed to college and post-graduate rowing. I spent my summers racing internationally and learning how to row a single. This provided me with valuable sculling race experience bringing my Olympic dreams closer to reality.”

Pearson will continue to train at Oxford where there is a deep appreciation for rowing. This will prepare her to row at the Latin American Olympic Qualifiers.

The Latin America Olympic Qualifiers will be held in Chile over two days. The top 6 finishers will qualify for the 2016 Olympics.

Pearson said, “My prior achievements suggest that this is an attainable goal. If I qualify for the Olympics, then I will continue to train to place as highly as possible. If I do not qualify, then I would continue to race in such international regattas as the Holland Backer Regatta, Henley Royal Regatta and World Cup Regattas.
