The 21st RO Smith Annual Over-40’s Football match between the St. George’s Colts All-Stars and the Somerset Trojans All-Stars is expecting to attract a large crowd at the Somerset Cricket Club, as players of yester years turn back the clock and entertain.
This year the teams will take to the field with heavy hearts with the recent loss of former Somerset Cricket Club President Colin Smith, St. George’s stalwart Cal Raynor, Stephen Dickinson’s mother, Joseph Gooden’s mother and Madge Smith the wife of RO Smith.
This year will see Joseph Bailey, Edward Icewater Smith, John Stovell, Eugene Leslie Cooper Roberts and Quinton Rubber Legs DeSilva all honored from Somerset, while Quinton Mallory and Lewellyn Furbert will be honored from St. George’s.
