Verdet Kessler continued competing in the 2014 Joy Twining & Joan Jones Badminton Championships in Lockleys, Australia. On the second and final day, Kessler would play a total of four games.
Kessler and Talia Saunders take part in the Women’s Doubles Semi-Finals advanced to the Final after they defeated Jay Lyn Kek and Lisa Vuong 21-8, 21-9.
The pair would then take on Gerrelyn Glico and Beth Hollett in the Final, Kessler and Saunders would win the Women’s Doubles Final 21-12, 21-9.
Kessler and Jason Dow where seeded number three in Mixed Doubles they took on the number one seeds Stuart Rowlands and Saunders going down in a three set battle. Rowlands and Saunders won the first game 21-9, but Kessler and Dow would win the second game 21-18, the third and final game would end 21-15 in favor of Rowlands and Saunders.
The Women’s Singles Final would see number one seed Kessler take on number two seed Saunders, Saunders already with two titles in the bag was looking for a third, but it was Kessler who captured her second defeating Saunders 21-13, 21-11.
