Members of Team Bermuda got continued to participate at the 8th Pan American Wushu Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Samir Furqan competed in the 56kg Junior Division he faced Brandon Herreras Montalvo of Peru in the Semi-Final. Furqan went down 2 rounds to 0 in a close decision and claimed 3rd place as a result of his first round bye.
Shannon Ford in the 80kg Division faced off against Alex Cisne of USA and went down 2 rounds to 0. This is the second time that a Bermudian has been defeated by the powerful professional MMA fighter as Khalid Pitcher went down 2 rounds to 0 at last year's world championship.
Garon Wilkinson finished at the bottom of the 31 member field in taolu changquan after falling on a high difficulty move called a butterfly twist. The rest of his routine was solid however a fall at this level is the equivalent of a gymnast falling off of the balance beam.
