Kaden Hopkins was one of seven Essax Team members that got their 2022 season underway in Vuelta Al Guadalentin, Spain.
The province of Murcia was the scene of the debut of the Essax Team in this 2022 season. The first of three stages incorporated an initial Time Trial that will mark the first differences.
Hopkins missed out on the top spot in the Stage 1 Time Trial in Vuelta Al Guadalentin today by less than 2 seconds.
A total of 113 starters, completed the race with Hopkins finishing second overall in a time of 7:14, and he was the first Equipo Essax rider overall.
Spain’s Abel Balderstone Roumens won the Stage clocking a winning time of 7:12, representing Caja Rural-Alea.
Francisco Garcia Rus finished third representing Aluminios Cortizo clocking a time of 7:17.
