Cailtin Conyers becomes the latest Bermuda rider to sign with an overseas team, Conyers has signed for LUX Cycling which is an elite development team aimed to educate and empower the top riders in the United States to succeed at the highest levels of competitive cycling and in life.
Conyers will be competing mostly in California and Arizona, while LUX Cycling has women racing in Egypt, Holland, and Ireland as well.
Conyers’ season will get underway with her first race is in Phoenix, Arizona on February 18th.
Conyers makes it six riders overseas as Kaden Hopkins represents Equipo Essax in Spain, Conor White, and Nic Narraway represent CS Velo in the USA, Liam Flannery represents Rio Grande Elite Cycling in the USA, and Zander Miller represents Jonge Rakkers in Belgium.
Conyers said, “My ultimate goal this season is really the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in August. More generally, I’d love to get some good results at UCI races, which might enable me to get onto a pro team for the 2023 season.”
