Butterfield Bermuda Championship 2022 Updates

Tournament Officials release the full and final list of sponsor exemptions for the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course, October 27th – 30th. John Daly, James Nicholas, Akshay Bhatia, Caleb Surratt, Aaron Jarvis and Palmer Jackson were amongst those named to compete in the tournament in Bermuda this week.

Nicholas, Bhatia, Surratt, Jarvis, and Jackson will join previously announced sponsor exemptions Kim Swan, Michael Sims, Jarryd Dillas, and Nick Jones. Swan, a Bermudian golf icon, was the first sponsor exemption granted this year. Sims, Dillas, and Jones earned their berths through the local qualifier held October 4th – 5th at Port Royal Golf Course.

PGA TOUR's Wesley Bryan from Columbia, South Carolina, has committed to donating $100 to the Butterfield Bermuda Championship Birdies for Charity Programme every time he makes a birdie throughout this year's tournament.

The Ministry of Public Works is advising of a traffic change in the Railway Trail area in Southampton that will last until Sunday, October 30th, 2022.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the railway trail, in Southampton from White Hill Field gateway to Tribe Road No 5 will be made one-way to head east only. This one-way traffic flow will commence immediately until Sunday, October 30th, 2022.
