Donald, Seamus & Glover Commit to Bermuda Championship

Several players have already committed to play in the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course. Englandís Luke Donald, Irelandís Seamus Power, and former U.S. Open Champion Lucas Glover have committed to the 2022 field.

PGA TOUR players can enter or withdraw from the field until Friday, October 21st, 2022, at 6:00 PM.

Donald, the current European Ryder Cup Captain, is from Hemel Hempstead, England. He has five victories on the PGA TOUR and has been part of four Ryder Cup teams. In 2012, He was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his services to golf. This year will be his third consecutive appearance in Bermuda.

Power claimed his first PGA TOUR victory at the 2021 Barbasol Championship. The Waterford, Ireland native has played in every Butterfield Bermuda Championship and finished 12th last year. He studied accounting at East Tennessee State University.

Glover has four wins on the PGA TOUR, including the 2009 U.S. Open at Bethpage Black. He shot a final round 64 to win last seasonís John Deere Classic. Glover attended Clemson University, earning a degree in Communications. He was inducted into the Clemson Athletics Hall of Fame in 2007.

Interim CEO of Bermuda Tourism Authority Tracy Berkeley says - "We are excited about how the player line-up is coming together and look forward to welcoming all players to Bermuda for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Bermuda and golf have a long, rich history, and there's no better place to witness some of the best players in the world compete".

Limited tickets remain for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Purchase now before tickets sell out. Tickets are available through the tournament website for $35. Digicel Business Ocean Club tickets retail at $250 and can also be purchased online. The public is encouraged to act quickly.

The Butterfield Bermuda Championship will implement the PGA TOURís Junior Initiative this year. Youth 15 and under are admitted free to the tournament with a ticketed adult. This does not apply to hospitality spaces, and all spectators over the age of 2 entering hospitality venues must hold a pre-purchased ticket.
