The second event of the Inaugural Moongate Tour season took place at the Ocean View Golf Course, and for the second time, this season an amateur claimed the victory. Click Here to see Pictures of Moongate Tour March 18th 2022
Will Haddrell claimed the victory shooting a 1-under par 69, to win by three strokes over second-place Nick Jones who shot 3-over par 72, Chris Smith finished 3rd at 3-over par 73. Dwayne Pearman finished 4th shooting 4-over par 74, Damian Palayandi, Kenny Leseur, and Matthew Smith all finished at 5-over par 75’s.
Andrew Trott-Francis, Co-Founder of the Moon gate Tour said, “I am pleased with the turnout for the second round of the Moon Gate Tour. We initially had 33 signups but due to withdrawals, we lost 2 signups, however with the 10 new competitors we did manage to increase our field size for this event which is healthy for the Tour. Our goal is to have full fields in all our future events. We have some exciting new partnerships that will be announced soon, and we remain committed to developing competitive golf in Bermuda.”
Jayson Jackson, Ocean View Superintendent said, “Our Agronomy Team has been preparing our playing surfaces for the Moon Gate Tour over the last few weeks. We expected the course to play challenging but fair as our green complexes continue to improve.”
