Caitlyn Bobb, Za'Kayza Parsons and their University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Women's Indoor Track and Field teammates took their initial test of the 2023-24 season when they competed in the 2023 Navy Indoor Invitational.
Bobb won the Women’s Indoor 500m clocking a time of 1:12.93, breaking her Indoor National Record time of 1:13.46 she set back in January 2020 during the VA Showcase, she also posted the second-fastest time in UMBC history.
Parsons clocked a time of 7.86 during the Women’s 60m Dash finishing 12th.
Bobb ran the anchor leg for UMBC in the Women 4x400 Meter Relay as they finished 3rd clocking a time of 3:50.55.
Parsons placed fifth in the Women's Long Jump with a Personal Best leap of 5.63m. The mark is the fifth-best in school history.
