The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Women's Track and Field program saw its lone competitor take center stage on Thursday night during the 400 meters at the NCAA East Regionals as Caitlyn Bobb made her second straight appearance in the Opening Round. Bobb, who won both the ECAC and America East Championship, came into the evening with the 39th-fastest speed in the region and ended the season two spots ahead of that slot by earning 37th place with a time of 54.56 seconds. She was unable to advance to the NCAA Championships. The Retrievers sophomore star landed ahead of runners that hailed from Auburn, Miami (FL), Florida, USF, Coppin State, LSU, Rhode Island, Columbia, and High Point.
