Carifta Games Day Two Round Up

The 49th staging of the Carifta Games continued in Jamaica with Bermuda athletes back in action.

J’auza James continued competing in the Octathlon, took to the track for the Under 20 Boys 110 Meter Hurdles, James finished 9th clocking a time of 19.20. James then finished first in the 1500 Meter Run clocking a time of 4:35.28. James would finish 6th overall with a score of 3884 points.

Kesay Bell finished 9th in the Under 20 Girls Javelin Throw with a top toss of 28.30m. Bell also finished 9th in the Under 20 Girls Shot Putt Throw with a top toss of 10.03m.

Nirobi Smith Mills, claimed the top spot in the Under 20 Boys 800 Meter Run Preliminaries clocking a time of 1:55.11. Elise Dickinson, and Madisyn Bobb both missed out on a spot in the Under 17 Girls 200 Meter Dash Semi-Finals when they finished 18th and 19th in the Preliminaries, Dickinson clocked 26.53, while Bobb clocked 26.56.

Denver Tucker, and Miles Outerbridge both missed out on a spot in the Under 17 Boys 200 Meter Dash Finals when they finished 10th and 17th in the Preliminaries. Tucker was clocked at 23.16, while Outerbridge crossed the line in a time of 23.97.

Caitlyn Bobb advanced, but Keturah Bulford-Trott missed out on a spot in the Under 20 Girls 200 Meter Dash Finals, Bobb qualified with the 6th fastest time of 24.79, while Bulford-Trott clocked 25.61 finishing 12th.

The Bermuda Under 17 & 20 Girls 4x100m Relay teams finished 4th, the Under 17 team clocked a time of 49.50, while the Under 20 Girls clocked a time of 46.13.
