Sakari Famous has rewritten the Bermuda and her school’s Women’s Indoor High Jump Record books competing in the Southland Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Famous previously held the Bermuda Indoor mark of 1.77m set back in 2019 at the UAB Blazer Invitational, representing McNeese State, Famous leaped 1.80m to win the Gold Medal and also set a new school Indoor Record.
Famous missed on her first attempt at the1.77m mark but cleared the bar on the second attempt. Famous then cleared the bar at 1.80m on her first attempt but had three strikes at the 1.84m mark.
