More Medals Won in Florida & BNAA Host Local Meet

Members of the Bermuda National Athletics Association (BNAA) took to the Track in Miramar Florida to compete on Day Two of the Capital Speed Invitational, looking to meet the Carifta Standards.

On Day Two the athletes won another seven Medals to take their total to 11 Medals.

Massassi Maxwell-Smith won the 17 – 18 Women’s Long Jump with a top leap of 5.27m.

Jaeda Grant would pick up her 3rd Gold Medal of the event when she ran to victory in the Under 14 Girls 3000 Meter Run clocking a time of 11:24.63.

During the Under 14 Girls 100 Meter Dash Finals Arima Turner finished 4th with a time of 12.99.

Miles Outerbridge won the Silver Medal in the Under 14 Boys 100 Meter Dash Finals clocking a time of 11.67.

In the 15 – 16 Girls 100 Meter Dash Finals J’Nas Richards crossed the line 6th with a time of 13.11.

Denver Tucker captured the Silver Medal and met the Carifta Standard time in the 15 – 16 Boys 100 Meter Dash Finals finishing 2nd with a time of 11.20.

Turner also competed in the Under 14 Girls 200 Meter Dash Finals, she would once again finish 4th with a time of 27.30.

Miles Outerbridge won the Gold Medal in the Under 14 Boys 200 Meter Dash Finals clocking a time of 23.90.

Richards competing in the 15 – 16 Girls 200 Meter Dash Finals finished 6th clocking a time of 27.76.

Tucker would capture the 15 – 16 Boys 200 Meter Dash Finals Gold Medal clocking a time of 22.79.

During the Under 14 Girls 400 Meter Dash Ellise Dickerson finished 3rd collecting the Bronze Medal with a time of 1:02.78.

Daelyn Scott finished 7th competing in the Under 14 Boys 400 Meter Dash clocking a time of 58.85.

Jaelyn Grant finished 4th in the 15 – 16 Boys 400 Meter Dash stopping the clock in 53.49.

Meanwhile, the Bermuda National Athletics Association hosted their 5th Track Meet of the year at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium.

Shayla Cann won the Women’s 800 Meter Run clocking a time of 2:18.71, Aria Mosquera was second in 2:49.14.

The Men’s 200 Meter Dash Open saw Saj Carey clock a winning time of 24.83, Seer Carey was second in 24.83, and Charles Fox finished third with a time of 28.30.
