The Bermuda National Athletics Association celebrated the news that Results Official Jibri Smith was awarded Bank of Bermuda Foundation’s Vocational, Technical & Trade Scholarship and all the best in your Electrical Engineering Technician studies at Cambrian College.
Acknowledging the award it was stated, “You’re on a great path to working in the fields that interest you most; telecommunications, renewable energy, power distribution, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Keep up the good work!”
Bank of Bermuda Foundation offers this scholarship to young Bermudians engaging in vocational, technical, or trade programs overseas to learn trades such as hospitality, mechanics, piloting, nursing, culinary arts, caregiving, landscaping, cosmetology, and hairdressing.
The Scholarship is valued at $24,000 for up to 2 years.
President of the Bermuda National Athletics Association Donna Raynor said, “We are very proud of Jibri to just watch him grow into the great young man he is turning out to be.
Jibri started with us in the timing booth assisting Wayne Raynor and eventually was able to run the timing booth by himself as he was such an astute learner. I have found him to be a very respectful young man and willing to assist where and whenever possible.
Congratulations to Jibri and we hope to see him grow and develop even more.”
