Bermuda National Athletics Association President Donna Raynor has reported to the media that they are pleased to say that they have another Carifta Qualifier.
Sanaa Morris who is currently at IMG Academy has met the standard in the Under 17 Girls 200m.
Back on December 21st during the Galleria Games Indoor 2019 hosted by the Hoover HS Track Boosters Club at the Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama, Morris competed as an IMG Elite Athlete.
Morris competed in the 15-16 Division Girls 200 Meter Dash against 79 competitors, Morris finished 2nd in Heat 14 and finished 9th overall with a time of 25.99, beating the Carifta Standard time of 26.00.
During the 15-16 Division Girls 400 Meter Dash, Morris would finish 3rd in Heat 14 which put her 6th overall out of 73 competitors clocking a time of 59.87 just off the Carifta Standard time of 58.50.
Morris was part of the Bronze Medal 4X100m Girls Relay Team in Carifta last year.
Raynor said, “Her mom Delight Morris has told us that she has adjusted well at the academy and is truly enjoying her training and competition.
We look forward to hearing even greater news from Sanaa this year.”
