Kemp finished 2nd in the first race of the day, before crossing the line 14th in the second race of the day.
Kempe started his ILCA 7 Competition strong, he posted on social media, “Over the last two years in the ILCA 6 I have gone through great defeat but also great success.
In the two years that I have sailed the boat we have been to four World Championships, we have medaled in three.
When I started into the ILCA 6 I wanted to leave no stone unturned and I believe I have accomplished this. However, these experiences have only been minor preparation in the big picture for the next step.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me in the last two years. Now it’s time to chase the big goal the Olympics.”
