A final showdown awaits the ten Olympic classes on Saturday at US Sailing’s Rolex Miami OCR, which has, thus far, gifted sailors with four days of sublime sunshine and satisfying winds.
The event is the only one of seven ISAF Sailing World Cup events to grace a shore on this continent and has attracted 529 sailors from 41 countries including Bermuda’s Jesse and Zander Kirkland.
The Kirkland’s moved up the 49er Skiff leaderboard when they had two top 10 finishes in the day’s three races.
Starting out in 14th place with 93 points, they now have a total of 120 points for the Regatta and are in 13th place.
The pair finished the first race of the day in 6th place, they then finished 12th in the second race of the day before closing out with a 9th place finish in the third and final race.
