Haley Powell and Sean Bouchard along with their Roger Williams Sailing teammates hit the water, participating in regattas and coming away with two finishes in the top four.
At the Hatch Brown Trophy at MIT, Roger Williams placed third out of 18 teams overall. Alec Anderson and Sophie Bellacosa impressively finished in second place at A Division with 103 points. Anderson and Bellacosa participated in 16 races and managed to place in the top three in six of those races. In B Division, RWU sailing duo Bouchard and Samantha Bobo placed seventh with 142 points. The pair managed to place within the top 10 in 11 out of the 16 races they competed in.
Most impressive of the day was RWU's Tyler Macdonald and Jake Bartlein, who placed first in C Division. Macdonald and Bertlein obtained two first-place wins, two second places, and four third places to finish with a score of 93 points.
At the Mrs. Hurst Bowl at Dartmouth College, Roger Williams placed 12th overall. Powell and Alyssa Seifert finished among the top 10 in A Division, placing 9th with 37 points. Among four races, the duo placed 6th, 18th, 4th and 9th, respectively. In B Division, Annie Schmidt and Jaye Fahey placed 13th in B Division with 48 points. Together the pair placed 15th, 8th, 15th, and 10th among four races.
