Nahki Wells and his Bristol City teammates fell to their first defeat in nine games after a valiant performance against Norwich City.
Two first-half goals from Teemu Pukki gave Bristol City a mountain to climb and they almost did with Tommy Conway – his seventh goal of the season – and Antoine Semenyo pulling back goals in between Josh Sargent’s third for the Canaries.
With 350 traveling fans cheering them on Wells and his teammates did not let their setbacks shackle their attacking intent and they pressed hard for a late equalizer that would have given them a fair share of the points.
Down 2 – 0, Bristol City pulled a goal back with Rob Atkinson dribbling forward for Wells to provide the perfect cross for strike partner Conway.
City started the second half with the same positivity they finished the first with Alex Scott crossing to Wells, who couldn’t generate any power on the header straight at Krul.
