Nahki Wells’ teammate Jay Dasilva’s 84th-minute winner secured all three points against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.
The defender’s left-footed strike beat Jack Bonham at his far post to send City’s 728 supporters away happy after cheering the side on to a performance described by manager Nigel Pearson as ‘honest and stubbon’.
Pearson made one change from the side that drew 1-1 with Peterborough United with Antoine Semenyo starting in place of Wells.
