The Association has formed a partnership with E-Coach, to develop the online program with a view to attracting more match officials, this platform will allow aspiring officials to complete the classroom aspect online at their own pace.
Once finished they will receive a certificate of completion from the association and then they will be eligible to commence the practical training sessions with our instructors. There are three courses on the site:
The Full referee Qualification Course which is approximately 6 - 8 hours costs $45. The Futsal Referee course which is approximately 4 - 6 hours costs $40 The Youth Level course which is approximately 2 - 3 hours costs $20.
Participants take quizzes at the end of each module and support is provided if it is required.
It is the hope of the Referees Committee that this new platform can be adopted by schools, clubs, and the general public. The committee is optimistic this new partnership will lead to more persons registering to become referees and help to improve the sport.
