Keziah Martin Scored
Zeiko Lewis and his Charleston Battery teammates fell 3-2 to The Miami FC following three unanswered goals scored by the South Florida side. Nicque Daley (11’) and Lewis (31’) put Charleston ahead 0-2 in the first half before being countered by goals from Miami’s Ariel Martinez (45’), Christiano François (61’), and Billy Forbes (78’). The away defeat snaps the Battery’s three-game win streak.
Keziah Martin and his Kidderminster teammates wrapped up a useful 2-1 pre-season win at Halesowen.
Kidderminster enjoyed a fairly dominant first 45 minutes at The Grove and was in front on just three minutes. Martin started and finished the move, winning the ball before passing to Ethan Freemantle who kept it well while advancing into the area. He played in Sam Austin who saw a shot saved, with Martin on hand to fire home the follow-up.
Knory Scott and his Hastings United teammate’s pre-season fixtures came to a premature end with a loss to Premier Division Carshalton Athletic.
Two early goals conceded were further compounded by an own goal before half-time. United, shorn of several first-team players due to absence or precaution, battled manfully but struggled to create any sort of rhythm against their resolute opponents.
