The Bermuda Men’s Senior National team continues to prepare for their upcoming 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup Preliminary Round against Barbados on Friday July 2nd, 2021.
At a Press Conference earlier this evening, www.islandstats.com sat down with Head Coach Kyle Lightbourne, and Captain Nahki Wells.
Prior to the start of the 2021 Gold Cup Group Stage, 12 teams including Bermuda will compete in the Preliminary Round from July 2nd – 6th, 2021. These matches will take place at DRV PNK Stadium (Fort Lauderdale, FL) and will determine the final three teams in the Gold Cup Group Stage.
The winner of the Bermuda – Barbados match will face off against the winner of the Haiti vs. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Group Stage of the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup will kick off on July 10th and will run through July 20th. At the end of the Group Stage, the top two teams from each group will advance to the Quarterfinals. State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas will play host to the Quarterfinal Double-Headers on July 24th and 25th, respectively.
