Tuff Dogs 2 Flanagan’s Onion’s 1
Tuff Dogs became the second Corona League team to advance in the FA Challenge Cup following their 2 – 1 win over Flanagan’s Onions.
The Tuff Dogs took the lead in the 35th minute with a Shaun Brown goal, Brown would double the Tuff Dogs lead when he found the back of the net for the second time in the game in the 50th minute. The Flanagan’s Onions got within a goal when Akim Johnston converted from the penalty spot in the 74th minute, however, they could not find the equalizer in the remaining 16 minutes.
The Flanagan Onions became the second First Division team to bow out of the competition to a Corona League team.
In the next FA Challenge Cup draw, Corona League teams Tuff Dogs, and the Footy Kings, along with First Division teams Vasco, Young Men Social Club, and Hamilton Parish will be joined by the Premier Division teams.
