Late, late drama at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium saw Nahki Wells and his Queens Park Rangers teammates denied victory by Charlton Athletic as late as the 95th minute.
Queens Park Rangers looked to be on course for a 2-1 win through goals from Geoff Cameron in the 6th minute and Marc Pugh in the 70th – the latter on target on the back of some fine individual skill by substitute Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Sandwiched in between those two QPR goals was Lyle Taylor’s first levelling effort in the 56th minute, the visiting hotshot turning in Albie Morgan’s initial low shot.
NATHAN TROTT
Nathan Trott and his AFC Wimbledon teammates paid the price for a slow start today at Prenton Park with a goal by Rushian Hepburn-Murphy enough to earn victory for Tranmere.
The hosts started strongly with a spell of pressure that yielded the only goal in a 1-0 victory that they deserved on the balance of play. Though Wimbledon improved after the break, chances and therefore an equalizing goal turned out to be elusive and victory lifts Tranmere level on points with Wimbledon.
JONTE SMITH
Jonte Smith was an unused substitute as his teammates Alex Addai's first half strike helped Cheltenham make it nine unbeaten on the road at Port Vale.
The forward scored his seventh goal of the season to open the scoring at Vale Park, but a Ben Tozer own goal towards the end of the first half helped the home side get back in the game and secure a point.
REGGIE LAMBE
Reggie Lambe and his Cambridge United teammates were unable to recover from a poor first half as Leyton Orient took the spoils 2-3 in a dramatic Sky Bet League Two clash at the Abbey.
In a game that saw two red cards, eight bookings, two penalties, five goals and a wrongly disallowed goal, the U’s were edged out having fallen too far behind before the break to Leyton Orient.
Lambe and then Leyton Orient’s Myles Judd were both given their marching orders a minute apart for second yellow cards in a dramatic closing ten minutes.
MILAN BUTTERFIELD
Milan Butterfield and his Kidderminster teammates drew 1 – 1 with Altrincham at Moss Lane.
Butterfield gave Kidderminster the lead with a goal in the 20th minute, but Jake Moult equalized for Altrincham in the 73rd minute.
OSAGI BASCOME & JUSTIN DONAWA
Osagi Bascome and Justin Donawa both started on the bench, as a superb early goal by Adam Campbell set Darlington Football Club up for a deserved victory at Bootham Crescent -- only their first since 1991, and their eighth in 57 visits stretching back a century.
