Trott Unused Substitute in Pre-Season Scoreless Draw
|
Nathan Trott was an unused substitute as his FC Copenhagen teammates played to a scoreless draw on the road in a pre-season friendly against Bulgarian champions PFC Ludogorets Razgrad.
The match, held in Austria, marked an early stage in Copenhagen's demanding preparations for the 2025/26 season. The Danish side, having recently kicked off their pre-season training, are building fitness and tactical cohesion ahead of a campaign that includes crucial UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds.
Head coach Jacob Neestrup is focused on gradually integrating players and developing the team's competitive nature, while also working on refining their game. For Trott, who joined FC Copenhagen on a permanent deal in June 2024, this pre-season is vital as he looks to solidify his position within the squad and contribute to the club's European ambitions.

Just a week after their seismic upset of the previously undefeated Somerset Lady Trojans, the PHC Lady Zebras found themselves on the losing side of a captivating seven-goal thriller, edged 4-3 by the Dandy Stars in Bermuda Football Association Women’s League action at the Clyde Best Center of Excellence Field.
The Dandy Stars wasted little time making their mark, taking the lead in the 20th minute through Robin-Valana Pearman. Their advantage was doubled just nine minutes later when Jessica Furtado found the back of the net. However, the PHC Lady Zebras, showing their newfound resilience, pulled a goal back in the 43rd minute courtesy of Janiya Sealey, sending the Dandy Stars into the break with a narrow 2-1 lead.
The second half continued the end-to-end action. The PHC Lady Zebras drew level in the 52nd minute with a strike from Khylah Brangman, setting up a tense final period. But the Dandy Stars quickly restored their lead in the 72nd minute through Kalila Daley. The goals kept coming thick and fast, and just one minute later, the scores were level yet again as Jasmine Spence found the net for the PHC Lady Zebras.
However, it was the Dandy Stars who had the final say in this dramatic encounter. With the clock ticking down, Jahde Simmons scored the decisive winner in the 81st minute, securing a hard-fought 4-3 victory for the Dandy Stars. The result underlines the competitive nature of the Women's League, proving that no game can be taken for granted.

Donawa Signs New Deal with the Brackley Town
|
Brackley Town confirmed that Bermuda International Justin Donawa has signed a new contract, keeping him at St James Park for the upcoming National League season.
Donawa was a valuable part of the Saints' title-winning squad last season, contributing energy, pace, and attacking quality as the club made history by securing promotion from the National League North.
Donawa brings flair and experience to the side, and his re-signing marks another important step as the club builds towards its first season at National League level.
Manager Gavin Cowan said: “Justin gave us exactly what we needed when he came to us last season. A player with lots national league experience who is very versatile with attributes that suit our style of play. We’re really pleased Justin is with us and a good pre-season will stand him in good stead!”
The Saints’ squad is beginning to take shape nicely as preparations ramp up for the 2025/26 campaign.

Penalty Heartbreak for Parfitt's FC Haka in Finnish Cup
|
Bermudian International Djair Parfitt and his FC Haka teammates saw their Finnish Cup journey come to a dramatic end in the quarter-finals, falling to Kuopion Palloseura after a tense penalty shootout. The match finished 1-1 after regular time, but it was the visitors who held their nerve to advance to the semi-finals.
Kuopion Palloseura made an early breakthrough when Saku Savolainen headed in Petteri Pennanen's precise cross in the 12th minute. However, FC Haka, with Parfitt in the squad, responded well and found their deserved equaliser in the 33rd minute. Following a free-kick and a delivery from Jordan Houston, Mikael Almen powerfully headed the ball into the net to level the score at 1-1.
The second half saw no further goals, setting the stage for a dramatic penalty shootout. The shootout quickly turned sour for FC Haka. Oskari Sallinen was first up for Haka, but his shot was saved by Kuopion Palloseura's goalkeeper Johannes Kreidl. Mikael Almen and Arlind Sejdiu then also saw their efforts from a similar angle denied by the Austrian stopper.
In contrast, Ibrahim Cisse, Arttu Heinonen, and Agon Sadiku all successfully converted their penalties for Kuopion Palloseura. Their clinical finishing meant that FC Haka's cup run concluded at the quarter-final stage, a disappointing end for Parfitt and his teammates.

Bermuda International Frazzoni Retained by AFC Sudbury
|
Bermudian international Eva Frazzoni will continue her journey in English football, as AFC Sudbury Women have confirmed her inclusion on their retained list for the upcoming 2025/26 season.
Frazzoni, a pivotal figure for the Suffolk side, enjoyed a standout 2024/25 campaign in the FA Women’s National League Division One South East. Her impressive performances did not go unnoticed by her teammates, who voted her as the AFC Sudbury Women’s Players’ Player of the Season.
During the recently concluded season, the midfielder showcased her attacking prowess, scoring five goals in 25 appearances for the club.
Frazzoni initially joined AFC Sudbury in 2023, following a stint with Hashtag United for the 2022–23 season. Across her time with both English clubs, the Bermudian has now played in a combined 76 matches, contributing 12 goals.
Her retention by AFC Sudbury underscores her value to the squad and provides a strong platform for the Bermuda international as she continues to ply her trade in the English football pyramid.
