 Marcus Scotland, Stefan Kelly and their Newport Cricket Club teammates defeated Glamorgan Academy by 9 runs in a T20 match.
Newport won the toss and elected to bat, they scored 145/9, Michael Clayden was the top scorer with 61, Scotland was out for 1, while Kelly went without scoring. Vineet Bolusani was the pick of the Glamorgan bowlers with figures of 4-0-13-5.
In reply, Glamorgan Academy could only manage 136/6, Jay Newington-Bridges was the top scorer with 35, Hasnain Nawaz was the pick of the Newport bowlers with figures of 4-0-13-1, Kelly bowled 3-0-22-0, Scotland had 2 run outs.
